Currently enrolled UW-Madison students and faculty/staff with a current UW-Madison appointment may purchase a "universal" pass for their spouse or domestic partner to use the Nat, SERF, Nielsen Tennis Stadium, and CRSC during all open recreation hours.

Currently enrolled UW-Madison students, guest students, and faculty/staff with a current UW-Madison appointment may purchase a membership for their spouse or domestic partner. “Domestic partner” refers to those who have legally registered their partnership with the City of Madison or have completed the campus form (see UW-Madison's Domestic Partnership Policy for more information). A married couple must provide a marriage certificate/license or two forms of documentation proving their marriage (acceptable documentation is listed below). Domestic partners must complete the UW-Madison Declaration of Domestic Partnership Form in addition to providing two forms of documentation proving their relationship. * Printable PDF info sheet *

Acceptable documentation:

• Domestic Partnership agreement, including, but not limited to, legal registration of the domestic partner relationship with a local, state, federal, or foreign government
• Joint mortgage, lease, or title; or currently share the same residence and intend to do so indefinitely
• Designation of domestic partner or spouse as beneficiary for life insurance or retirement contract
• Durable property or healthcare powers of attorney
• Joint ownership or motor vehicle, joint checking account, or joint credit account

Spouse/Domestic Partners are not eligible to participate in intramural sports, club sports or instructional programs.

The sponsoring student, faculty, or staff member must maintain continuous University affiliation (i.e. students must be enrolled and faculty/staff must have a current appointment) throughout the time frame covered by the Spouse/Domestic Partner pass or facility privileges associated with that pass are suspended and all fees are forfeited. Discontinued enrollment of the student or termination of the faculty/staff will result in revocation of the Spouse/Domestic Partner pass.

Spouses and domestic partners have the option to purchase a pass for exclusive use of Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

Spouses and domestic partners of UW-Madison students, faculty and staff must provide one of the following in order to receive a spouse card: 1) Previous year’s tax return marked "married, filing jointly" and signed by both spouses; 2) Last year’s NTS spouse card along with a current UW-Madison faculty/staff I.D. card; 3) Marriage certificate; 4) Domestic partners must show evidence of registration with City of Madison or a UW Madison Declaration of Domestic Partnership.
