GUEST & AUDIT STUDENTS

UW-Madison guest and audit students do not pay segregated fees. Therefore, they must pay the Recreation Membership Fee to use the recreational facilities. Guest-audit students must possess a valid UW-Madison student photo ID (Wiscard) and enroll for the semester prior to purchasing a membership for that semester. 

Guest and audit students are not eligible to purchase a membership that is valid beyond the semester in which they are enrolled (with the exception that Guest-audit students enrolled in the spring semester may pay membership fees for both spring and summer).

•Group-X

-A variety of group exercise classes are available at the SERF and NAT with the purchase of a Group-X membership or day pass.

•Physique Personal Training and Health Coach

-A nationally certified personal fitness trainer helps you achieve your desired fitness and health results by formulating a customized plan to meet your goals. 

•Swimming Lessons

-Adult group, private, and semi-private swimming lessons are offered at the SERF and NAT. Classes are taught by Red Cross-certified Water Safety Instructors.

•Club Sports

-The Club Sports Program is comprised of various student organizations focused on a particular sport. Many clubs are organized for the primary purpose of competition, while other clubs are recreational or instructional in nature.

•Intramural Sports

-Whether you're a former varsity athlete or a first-time participant, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with our intramural program. Choose your teammates and level of competition for a variety of sports.

Members who have forgotten their Wiscard may gain entrance to any of our facilities by showing a valid photo ID and providing their Wiscard ID number. This is considered a courtesy pass and may be used six times per semester. 

Any fraudulent use of an ID will be rendered punishable by administrative sanctions. In order to ensure the safety of the facility and our members, any ID card used in a fraudulent manner will be immediately confiscated. To retrieve a confiscated ID, you must provide a valid photo ID and pay a $20 administration fee. Fees must be paid to the Recreational Sports programs office in the facility in which the violation occurred.
