Rec Sports is looking for lifeguards to work at the SERF and Nat pools. Applicants must be currently certified in American red Cross Lifeguarding/CPR/AED and pass a screening test. Rec Sports lifeguards will guard during open lap swim times, UW Swimming and Diving practices, sport club practices, swim meets, and special events.

Intramural Sports hires over 100 officials per semester for basketball (+ scorekeepers), broomball, flag football, floor hockey, futsal, ice hockey, soccer, softball, and volleyball. We provide full training and mentoring for new officials.  Sport officials may be promoted to a leadership role as a Competitive Sports Supervisor.

Facility Attendant

The Facility Attendant is responsible for overseeing the access points and fitness space at the Nat and SERF. This position will rotate between the ID checker position and fitness monitor position on each shift. You will enforce Rec Sports policies and be in charge of maintaining, cleaning and checking the fitness areas. Custodial Crew

Rec Sports Custodial Crew is responsible for keeping our facilities clean while also providing customer service. Although we do have a full time maintenance crew, our student custodial staff is a helping hand when maintenance is not in the building. Personal Trainer

Rec Sports Personal Trainers work directly with clients to help them achieve their fitness goals. All trainers on staff are students, and must pass a certification exam and complete a mentoring program prior to working with individual clients.

Brand Ambassadors will help increase the brand value of Rec Sports by building relationships with members of the campus community including current students, prospective students, faculty/staff, and more.

Graphic Designer

Rec Sports is looking for creative and talented students to visually represent the Rec Sports brand through graphic design. Graphic Designers develop materials to increase brand recognition and exposure for a large audience, including current UW-Madison students, prospective students, faculty/staff, and community members. You will work collaboratively with our marketing team and Pro staff to ensure a cohesive message and brand image across all materials.  Graphic designers create logos, t-shirts, posters, website and social banners, and all things aesthetic!

Multimedia Lead

Photographers should have the technical skills to take excellent photographs and the perspective to help tell a story when needed.  We want creative, enthusiastic, photographers that can work independently and collaboratively on projects and event coverage.

Social Media Assistant

The Social Media assistant develops materials to increase brand recognition, exposure, and engagement with UW-Madison students, prospective students alumni, faculty/staff, and community members. You will work closely with our multimedia and graphic design teams to develop a cohesive message and brand image across all marketing materials.

Rec Sports is looking for creative and talented students to help tell the Rec Sports story using video. Videographers will produce content that highlights Rec Sports programs and events and that features individual participants. Most video will be short-form content/series.

Webmaster

Rec Sports is looking for a detail-oriented student to manage the divisional website. Primary responsibilities will include maintenance and weekly updates, as well as interpreting analytics and insights into solutions for improving the user experience. You will collaborate with photographers, videographers, designers, and communication leads to integrate the website into the Rec Sports brand.

Outdoor Maintenance Supervisor

About the Maintenance Department:
The Maintenance Department, under the Division of Recreational Sports, is responsible for the maintenance and repair for all Rec Sports facilities, including over 60 acres of outdoor space. The Outdoor Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Buildings & Grounds Superintendent with the maintenance and upkeep of all Rec Sports outdoor areas (Near West, Near East, and University Bay Fields, and the Cole Beach Area). If you enjoy being outside, physical labor, and learning from some of the greatest MacGyvers on campus, this could be the job for you!
